• How can you recognise a phishing attempt?

In general, you can find certain details that will help you recognise a phishing email: errors in spelling and punctuation, missing accents on French characters, mixture of English and French words, formatting errors, peremptory tone, etc. The formulation of these messages often includes implicit threats (“your account will be permanently deleted”), promises (“to obtain a refund of X euros”) or guarantees (“we take our clients’ privacy very seriously”) which the reader should disregard.

At first sight, these emails containing a clickable link (hypertext link) may appear credible, but in reality they will take you to a fake website, the address of which can be viewed by hovering your mouse above the link (without clicking).
